How to Log In
To get into your account, go to crown.com.au, look to the top-right corner and use the login area there. Type in either your Crown member number or the email address you used when you first enrolled, add your password, and sign in. That is the quick version of the whole thing.
If you only signed up recently at the Crown Rewards desk on Level 2, there is one extra bit. You will need the physical membership card they gave you at the counter. Your member number is printed on that card, and during your first online registration the portal expects that number. If you skip entering it, the online profile does not match correctly and you end up with login details that simply refuse to work.
The Crown mobile app runs off the same login. Install the app, tap on the account icon, then use the same member number or the same registered email plus your password. Any changes you make inside the app push through to the web portal, and changes on the site show up in the app. It is one account, just two different ways of getting to it.
| Login Method | What You Need | Where It Works |
|---|
| Member number + password | Membership card number | Web portal, mobile app |
| Registered email + password | Email used at enrollment | Web portal, mobile app |
| Two-factor authentication (SMS) | Mobile number on file | After password entry |
After you type the correct password, SMS two-factor authentication starts up automatically. A single-use code is sent by text message to the mobile number stored on your profile, and you enter that code to finish the login. A couple of limitations are worth knowing in advance: 2FA here is SMS only, there is no support for an authenticator app, and on iOS some people have reported that “Continue with Apple” can be temperamental depending on the device version. Using your email and password tends to be the cleaner, less fussy option if you just want to get in without drama.
Recovering Access When Things Go Wrong
Most of the time, problems come down to a forgotten password. On the login page, use the “Forgot Password” link sitting just under the password box. A password reset email is sent to your registered address - open that message, follow the link and set a fresh password. The reset link only stays live for a short time, so it helps to do it more or less straight away rather than leaving it there for ages.
Locked accounts are handled differently. After too many failed attempts in a row, the security system automatically locks your profile. At that point, clicking reset links again and again will not solve anything. You will have to call Crown customer support on +61 2 8871 7188 and ask them to remove the lock before you can properly reset credentials.
Have your member number or your registered email in front of you before phoning. Support staff will run through a quick identity check before they change anything, which is normal and expected for this sort of account.
After a lockout, the path back in usually looks like this:
- Stop trying to sign in the moment you see an account lockout notice.
- Call Crown support on +61 2 8871 7188.
- Confirm who you are using your member number or registered email.
- Ask the agent to unlock your account profile.
- Wait until they confirm the account is active again.
- Go back to crown.com.au and use “Forgot Password” to create a new password.
- Log in with the new password, then complete the SMS 2FA step.
- Once you are in, check your account details to confirm everything looks normal.
One small but useful habit: if something is broken with your login, a phone call is almost always quicker than going back and forth over email. That is true here, and generally across most online platforms.
What You See After Login
When you are finally signed in, the Crown Rewards dashboard gives you a snapshot of your status. You see your current points balance, your tier level, and recent activity linked to the account. From the same screen you can manage hotel and restaurant bookings at the Barangaroo property, change or update personal details, and keep track of points picked up at other Crown locations as well.
Anything tied directly to gaming in the portal is geo-restricted. If you try to access those sections from outside Australia, you will usually find them disabled or blocked off. Tools for managing rewards and reservations stay available wherever you are logging in from, but interactive gaming is locked to comply with New South Wales and Australian federal regulations. That limitation is based on law rather than an internal Crown policy choice.
| Account Feature | Available in Australia | Available Internationally |
|---|
| Reward points balance | Yes | Yes |
| Hotel and restaurant reservations | Yes | Yes |
| Interactive gaming features | Yes | No (geo-blocked) |
| Profile and password management | Yes | Yes |
| Membership tier status | Yes | Yes |
The Crown Rewards desk at Crown Sydney operates every day from 10am until 11:45pm. If you still have not enrolled or want to fix some details face to face, you will find the desk on Level 2 at Barangaroo. You can also start your membership online at crownsydney.com.au/crown-rewards/join-now and then complete things in person later if you prefer to have it mostly sorted before walking in.
Using a VPN to dodge those geo-restrictions goes against the Crown Rewards terms and conditions. Accounts that are detected trying to bypass geographic blocks can be suspended or even banned for good. Crown Sydney functions under the Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority together with the New South Wales Independent Casino Commission, and these regulators define who can access which parts of the platform.
